Calgary’s skyline, transformed into a futuristic dreamscape. This series captures the city’s towering skyscrapers bathed in neon light, reframing familiar streets into a cyberpunk vision of urban life. Reflections ripple through glass and steel, colors bleed into the night, and the pulse of the city takes on an otherworldly glow.

Through this neon aesthetic, downtown Calgary becomes something surreal—less a place and more a feeling. A city caught between reality and illusion, where light reshapes architecture, and the skyline hums with electric energy.

Inner Journeys is a dance series exploring movement, presence, and transformation hosted at Evolved Movement Arts and facilitated by Kylee Dawn.

As a videographer, my goal was to capture the essence of this journey—the fluid motion, the quiet intensity, and the way bodies move like elements of nature, shifting between fire and earth, energy and stillness. The golden glow highlights the warmth of the space, while the rich, organic tones anchor each movement in something deeper—something primal, timeless, and real.

Through these images and footage, Inner Journeys is preserved as a feeling—one of connection, release, and the simple, powerful act of being fully present in movement.

Set in the serene winter landscape of Camp Horizon in Bragg Creek, Constellations 2023—an event by Evolved Movement Arts—was a fusion of movement, light, and community. As the videographer and photographer, I sought to capture not just the visuals, but the atmosphere—the warmth of connection against the cold of winter, the balance of tradition and modernity, and the way light transforms the darkness.

Neon hues intertwined with classic Christmas decor, creating a surreal yet inviting aesthetic. Dancers and performers moved through glowing installations, their presence amplified by the contrast of vibrant light and deep winter shadows. Beyond the performances, sweeping landscape shots captured the untouched beauty of the surroundings, grounding the event in the natural stillness of Bragg Creek.

Through video and photography, I aimed to preserve the essence of Constellations 2023—a celebration of movement, light, and the warmth found in coming together.

Behind the Scenes: "Mad" by Quiet Talkers

Creating Mad was all about pushing visual boundaries. Shot with anamorphic lenses, this music video leans into a neon horror aesthetic—dark, hypnotic, and surreal. Instead of relying on camera movement, we built intensity through lighting, transforming every frame into a fever dream of color and contrast.

Slow-motion and rapid-speed shifts amplify the unease, while kaleidoscopic imagery fractures reality, pulling the viewer into a psychedelic spiral. Every shot was meticulously crafted to feel like controlled chaos—beauty and madness colliding in pure visual form.

These behind-the-scenes moments capture the process: the lighting setups, the effects, and the raw creative energy that brought Mad to life.

Inshala 15 was a dreamscape—an otherworldly fusion of music, movement, and light. Capturing it required a visual language that matched its energy, so I shot the aftermovie with anamorphic lenses, embracing the stretched, cinematic aesthetic that enhances scale and depth. The result is a neon surrealist vision of the festival—where glowing colors bleed into the night, figures shift between reality and illusion, and the energy of the experience is frozen in time.

These images are pulled straight from the video footage, each one a frame of the larger dream—distorted, immersive, and pulsing with the rhythm of Inshala itself.
