Cultural infrastructure for artists, performance, and image-making.

Alongside Kiamythos Films and Draumr, Kia co-founded a set of artist-led platforms that turn performance, media, and community into cultural infrastructure. Catalyst Collective, Syzygy Arts Collective, and The SCEEN each serve a different part of the ecosystem: structure, experimentation, and public activation.

Production systems, performance research, and public-facing cultural environments developed through artist-led work in Western Canada.

Three platforms. One ecosystem.

Each platform serves a different layer of the same cultural mission. Catalyst creates shared infrastructure. Syzygy develops multidisciplinary performance language. The SCEEN brings that energy into public experience through immersive live art and camera-centric environments.

The Infrastructure

Catalyst Collective

Catalyst Collective is an artist-led producer co-operative serving artists, festivals, cultural organizations, and creative initiatives across Western Canada. Built by artists, for artists, Catalyst brings production, media, marketing, administration, and shared resources into one cooperative structure so creative work can become more sustainable, visible, and professionally supported.

Catalyst is the system layer: the structure that helps artists and cultural projects move from isolated effort into coordinated production, visibility, and long-term support.

The Performance Laboratory

Syzygy Arts Collective

Syzygy Arts Collective is a multidisciplinary performing arts collective rooted in the alignment of music, movement, visual art, and live performance. It functions as an experimental space where bodies, sound, light, image, and atmosphere come together in shared performance environments.

Syzygy is the research layer: a place for developing performance language, embodied collaboration, visual rhythm, and experimental live art.

The Portal

The SCEEN

The SCEEN is a camera-centric live art environment and event series designed as both gathering and living set. Guests enter as audience, subject, and witness inside a constructed world shaped by light, movement, sound, style, and documentation.

The SCEEN is the public activation layer: an immersive container where artists, audience, camera, and environment collapse into one authored experience.

From image-making to infrastructure.

Kia's work moves across film, colour, performance, campaign media, and cultural production. These co-founded platforms extend that practice beyond individual projects into shared systems: spaces where artists can gather, test new work, produce stronger documentation, reach audiences, and build sustainable creative momentum.

The result is a founder ecosystem that connects cinematic image-making with real-world cultural infrastructure. Catalyst supports the system. Syzygy sharpens the language. The SCEEN brings the work into public experience.

Why this matters.

For artists

Access to shared systems, stronger documentation, professional production support, and a serious creative network.

For funders

Clear evidence of artist-led infrastructure, community collaboration, cultural development, and scalable creative impact.

For cultural organizations

A connected production ecosystem that can support campaigns, documentation, events, storytelling, and audience growth.

For audiences

Immersive spaces where performance, music, image, and community become something people can enter, remember, and share.

Build the world around the work.

These platforms are part of a larger creative mission: to help artists and cultural projects become more visible, more sustainable, and more powerful in the public imagination.
